Cost Of Utilities & Other Household Expenses in Baguio

Great thing about Baguio, it’s 70F degrees average temperature all year round, so there is no real need for air conditioning, however I do keep a fan in every room when it’s hot and a small space heater in my home office for when I wake up early in the morning to work (because I get cold easy)

  • Monthly Electric – For 2 Story Home – $30 (high usage, like me) or $15 (normal usage)
  • Drinking Water – $7 per 100 gallons drinking water (lasts 3 months for 2 people, really pure stuff)
  • Household Water – 3,000 gallons is about $10 bucks (Every building has its own water tank, and the cost to refill with delivery is so cheap it’s hard to ever price it out)
  • Fiber Internet – 150MB connection is $65 a month (that’s what I use, and it’s AMAZING, through Converg Cable) however if you don’t care about blazing fast speed, internet is as low as $20 per month for a 10MB connection speed
  • Phone – $10 per month

Total = You can expect your monthly expenses as a foreigner here in Baguio to be about $100 a month for an average 2 story home
